Reflections of the Past

By Hazel Holland

Yesterday I remembered the last place where I had hidden this oil painting... For over twenty years I have moved it around from one place to the next... trying to forget the sad circumstances under which I painted it. But today it came out of hiding! Today I choose to no longer hide the pain of my past mistakes and broken relationships! Today I choose to share God's love through it all...

  2. Leila,

Up until yesterday I thought it was one of the worst paintings I have done! I couldn't see it for what it really was because of the veil over my eyes that I used to blur my past mistakes... Today I am blessed by what I painted because I see now that my past is buried in the depths of His ocean of love. When I look into those clear waters I see His reflection and not mine!
